German watchmaker Sinn Spezialuhren is a brand that has been known for its exceptional craftsmanship in creating tool watches of all kinds. Dive watches, in particular, have a special place in the brand’s portfolio, and the U1 and U50 models are some of the most robust and focused options available. However, Sinn‘s flagship watch in this field is the U50, which was introduced in 2020. And now, it has a new high-strength, low-weight sister called the Sinn T50, which is purpose-built, strong, and designed for a job, now in titanium.
At first glance, the Sinn T50 may seem like a follow-up to the popular U50 released in 2020. However, there are plenty of new features that set it apart from its predecessor, including the use of new materials such as titanium and a new proprietary alloy called Goldbronze, which boasts unique features for longevity and functionality.
The Sinn T50 comes in three versions: T50, T50 GBDR, and T50 GoldBronze. All three are purpose-built dive watches with functional, instrumental designs. They have a 41mm diameter, a 12.3mm height, and bead-blasted surfaces all around. The case also features a crown at 4 o’clock, a thick sapphire crystal, and a titanium screwed back. Moreover, the Sinn T50 retains all the highly robust features of the brand’s previous dive watches, including the captive diver’s bezel with a guard to prevent accidental misadjustment and the classic TEGIMENT Technology coating. The watch is water-resistant up to 500m and has been tested according to the technical demands for the diving norm DIN 8306, and tested based on European diving equipment standards EN 250 and EN14143, as certified by DNV.
Inside the case of all models is the highly capable Sellita SW300-1, an automatic movement with 25 jewels, a 4Hz frequency, and a 42h power reserve. It displays the hours, minutes, seconds, and date and features a stop-seconds.
The Sinn T50 in titanium is available at 3,340€ on a bracelet and 3,380€ on a silicone strap. The Sinn T50 GBDR, on the other hand, costs 4,100€ on the bracelet and 4,140€ on the silicone strap. For those who prefer leather, it is possible to save several hundred euros, but the bracelet or silicone strap is the ideal option for dive watches. The Sinn T50 Goldbronze tops the charts at 4,980€ on its textile strap. All watches can be ordered today on the Sinn site, and delivery times are set at roughly 12 weeks.
Overall, the Sinn T50 is an exceptional dive watch that is purpose-built, strong, and designed for a job. It is equipped with robust features, tested to meet the highest standards, and comes in a range of options to suit every taste and preference. If you’re looking for a high-quality dive watch that can withstand the rigors of the deep blue sea, the Sinn T50 is an excellent choice.
