Parmigiani Fleurier was founded in 1996 by Michel Parmigiani, a master watchmaker, and his team of highly skilled artisans. However, the history of the brand can be traced back to the 1970s when Michel Parmigiani began restoring antique timepieces in his workshop in Couvet, Switzerland.
In 1980, Michel Parmigiani became a founding member of the Sandoz Family Foundation for the restoration of timepieces, which was established to promote the preservation of watchmaking heritage. This experience provided the foundation for the creation of Parmigiani Fleurier.
Parmigiani Fleurier launched its first collection of watches in 1999, which included the Kalpa, Toric, and Tonda models. These watches featured distinctive designs that incorporated traditional watchmaking techniques with contemporary aesthetics.
The brand quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail, which was reflected in the high-quality materials and movements used in their watches.
Over the years, Parmigiani Fleurier has continued to innovate and push the boundaries of watchmaking. In 2001, the brand introduced its first in-house movement, the PF110, which was developed and manufactured entirely by the brand’s own watchmakers. Since then, Parmigiani Fleurier has developed a range of high-performance movements, including the award-winning PF331 and PF354.
In addition to its own watch collections, Parmigiani Fleurier has also collaborated with other luxury brands, such as Bugatti and Hermès, to create limited-edition timepieces.
